In 2025, when “Infinity Castle” released, there were four superhero movies in theaters - three from Marvel (Captain America 4, Thunderbolts, and Fantastic Four) and one from DC (Superman).
And Demon Slayer made more money than all four of them.

- Superman - $618 million
- The Fantastic Four: First Steps - $521 million
- Captain America: Brave New World - $415 million
- Thunderbolts* - $382 million
God I forgot all of those came out this past year. More surprising that superman beat all the marvel ones.
Also amazing that a part 1 movie of a series finale of an anime did so well in the box office. Although Demon Slayer has definitely been a pretty big brand for a few years now.
Lol my wife and her friend went because the friend liked the anime and my wife knew nothing about it.
Her friend fell asleep and my wife spent most of the time texting me about how bad the movie was lol
