This is not a headline. But it’s very much a news item. The upcoming times would be showing up the shifting dynamics in the South Asian geopolitics.
Upcoming election dates in the states of India.
There should be a rule that you have to tag your post with the country or region it involves.
For me as a Swede, this isn’t really relevant, I only clicked as I thought it was a global list of elections.
At the same time, for someone who it may be relevant might miss it.
BJP means Modi’s party. If Modi replicates his Bengal success in these states, he’s going to be one of the worst dictators the world has seen.
And what do the stars beside the years signify?
Not sure… Probably they’re keeping it tentative…
Although the game is more or less fixed…
We’ll be seeing how the BJP takes over these states as well, now that they’ve taken over Bengal…
Not sure…
Bruh what do you mean? You a) didn’t even link the Wikipedia article so others could look (as though that’s even something that’s reasonable to make a post for here anyway), and b) whoever did this fucked up the formatting. It’s meant to say “* tentative”, but because “* [text here]” at the start of a line in wikitext produces a bullet point, it renders as that instead.
So you posted this here not even fully understanding what it was. Zero quality control on Lemmy’s current events comms.
Thanks for pointing that out. I didn’t provide the link because this is a world news community :)))

Buddy, if you don’t feel it’s appropriate to provide the link to the thing you’ve screenshotted because it’s not relevant to a world news community, posting the screenshot isn’t relevant by that metric either. It’s either both or nothing. The answer in this case is obviously “nothing”, but at least consistency counts for something.
My reason behind providing the screenshot is to give a glimpse as to how news from the subcontinent would get manufactured in the future 😄😄😄😄😄
