    Absolutely incredible.

A lot of stadiums in the US were built by stolen tax dollars that are given to billionaires. We should take it back and do this.

Like are stadiums sorta perfect for this. I kinda wonder if they can make cheaper ones without all the unnecessary facilities. OMD! its like the field could be a park with some trees and paths and then have all the gardens circling around and you have bathroom facilities and maybe some indoor courts for public use.

That’s interesting. I think I have mixed feelings.

It’s not the whole stadium or even the whole seating area used for the gardens. It was built as a soccer stadium but hosted more concerts than games given that there’s no local league or something. In 2008 the city decided to convert it to a more general purpose “expo” type venue.

From what I can see this was achieved by constructing a large tin box where the soccer field was. This created a kind of dead / difficult to utilise area where the grand stands are, so this was one of the uses. I’m not sure what the rest is used for, but it looks to have a roof over it. It’s possible they constructed a floor over the seats.

It’s interesting that the 80’s style score board is still in place. There’s some kind of weird accounting going on here.
