While mindful of what he called the “existential challenge of climate change,” Carney said abundance and affordability are also top of mind for

That’s a very telling word to use.

Carney warned that if sustained opposition to more development in the province continues, Ottawa will have to focus on projects in other provinces.

“If things get stalled here, we’re going to be spending more time elsewhere in the country,” Carney said.

Translation: Accept Alberta’s pipeline or lose investment. Carney is bending over backwards to give Danielle Smith whatever she wants while levying threats against BC to make it happen. Is he trying to make the Cascadia movement into more than a joke?

He said Canada’s renewed focus on energy development “has to go hand-in-hand with environmental protection,”

Unless that involves protecting orcas, I guess? Carney really likes to speak out of both sides of his mouth.

I guess this is why he cheered the attack on Iran then - figured it would be an excuse to spend billions on a pipeline that will take years to build. Also apparently he thinks we are complete fools

The country voted for him, and most still stand by their decision despite how obviously bad it was. People recently have fought me claiming he’s the only good option for the country.

He doesn’t think we’re fools, he knows we’re fools. Until we stop “strategic” voting this is what we will get.

“In a rapidly changing world, Canada must become the source of our own affordable, clean, reliable power because when we master energy, we master our destiny,” Carney said.

Maybe he could try announcing some clean energy developments once in a while instead of a stream of fossil fuel announcements.

That’s why he’s creating the Sovereign fund to collect income tax dollars from the middle class and give it away as subsidies to large U.S. based interests to exploit our LNG and oil and pay for a pipeline across B.C. to be able to ship those resources to Aisa and gouge then for it. Of course those U.S. companies are going to keep the profits while we get jack shit in return and still suffer economically from U.S… sanctions.

Fuck Carney. At this point I’m starting to think it would have been less bad under Poilievre… That’s saying a lot.

Identity politics isn’t any way to run a country, it’s fucking cancer, the guy is a fucking simpleton asshole, we would not be better off with pp. No chance, there’s no way its even a debate unless you’re rooting for the fall of our country alongside the Nazi state next door

No you’re right. At least Carney isn’t attacking the LGBTQ+ or criminalizing trans people, etc.

But fuck man. Carney is a fucking traitor to everyone who voted for him to defend Canada’s sovereignty against the U.S. It’s incredibly disappointing.

To be clear though, Danielle Smith has used the notwithstanding clause to attack trans youth and Carney has said and done precisely nothing

There’s no perfection in this universe, anyone who doesn’t have more than a million in assets should be voting ndp. And let’s be honest, I don’t know many millionaires, but I know plenty of struggling people who don’t have a fraction of that, so I can’t argue with wanting better, let’s just not shoot ourselves in the foot while we’re at it.

The universe is perfect, it just does not care for the living things in it. We and all other life are just little blips at a moment in time.

Perfect is in the eye of the beholder, and no one can agree on what perfect is, thus, no perfection. The universe just is what it is, it’s perfectly itself at least, there’s nothing anyone can do about that much.
