Over the time people paid for DLCs that don’t even exist anymore.

I remember very well back in the time, they said they’d bring contents back, they’re just “vaulted”, well, now the official continuous development is over, where is the content?

If I understand well, if the development is over, the content won’t come back, this promise doesn’t make any sense anymore.

I know there was a few legal problems for them but it seems they’re still well and alive, how?

    “…still well and alive…” Ouch.

They also had plenty of trouble because of it. They were sued by a writer who claimed they stole their original D2 “Red War” story from him. D2 and its backend have changed so much that Bungie can’t actually produce a playable version to show this content in court, and the court ruled that YouTube videos will not suffice. Unable to defend the claims.

It’s well and alive, they just launched a new game called Marathon and it was on top 10 on Steam most played a few weeks ago.

Destiny 2’s future was canceled as of last week. June 9 is the last update the game ever receives, and it’s all the balance tweaks the team had been planning for the next year, crammed into one update. Sony is also doing significant layoffs at Bungie following that. I wouldn’t call that well.

Marathon itself is a renewal of (if I recall correctly) Bungie’s first major IP before Halo, which was (also if I recall correctly) initially an Apple Macintosh exclusive game.

So at this point they’re just recycling previous IP and slapping a new paint of coat on it anyway.

I think the game is just dying already too, I remember seeing on top 10 most played, but currently it’s not even in the top 100 list. The world is healing.
