Food being all plant-based is not in itself healthier for us. What people include in that is alternatives for animal products they have liked and want to continue with something like any one of those, closely enough. Those alternative things then have a lot of what is processed, that they are not anything left natural at all. There are healthy benefits to have but that is with naturally growing foods, left as whole foods, while these can be added or mixed with each other, but not with chemicals or processed stuff added, this would be the healthy way.

Ikr. Potato chips, sugary treats, alcohol etc are technically vegan but they will ruin your health.

You have to eat healthy like dr Greger’s daily dozen on a vegan diet too.

Current data roughly shows that health wise:

Raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds > lightly processed plant based foods (cooked vegetables, roasted nuts, legumes, rice, oats, tofu, seitan, etc) > some of the healtier and minimally processed animal based products > heavily processed plant based foods > red-meat > heavily processed animal based products.

So in any case plant based is better. If you want to eat a burger, eat a vegan one to be healthier. If you just want to be healthy, unfucking surprisingly, eat salads

I get what you’re saying, but actually even the processed stuff is healthier too, because red meat is a known carcinogen. Hard to get worse for you than that.
