    Even after two rounds of everyone pointing out that it’s an incredibly bad idea, they still plan to make some cosmetic changes and push it through. The arrogance of this government is stunning.

    Good, but it doesn’t read as though they were responding to the Canadian electorate.

      This is a fight between Palantir et al. and the VPN and other ISP corps. At no point were the Canadian people ever relevant to this bill in any way. It makes no difference at all if it will actually be good for us, or if we approve or disapprove of it. This is bare-faced opportunism, using a crisis as cover to pass legislation that will hurt us for generations to come.

    My bet is they’ll change some language where the net effect is its 100% the same bill with all the changes having 0 impact even though they claim they do.
