At this point, grads and undergrads only hope is to work their asses off developing anti-AI tech that blocks scraping, poisons data sets, and exploits unsophisticated bots to turn on their masters. 😈

Or we could take the direct approach and start burning down datacenters. That’s probably easier. And cheaper.

no need to burn them down, just focus on the chillers. if they use evaporative coolers a water balloon partially filled with oil and soap will fuck that entire system.

also better to cripple then destroy as they get a full insurance payout where just drastically degrading facility performance is harder to prove the monetary value.

Josh, tho. Dude kills it every single time and is so damn likable.

The current rotation is killer. We won’t appreciate this golden age until it sucks again (sorry Trevor).

I think Josh Johnson is the best choice, to be honest - my only issue with him is that he might be too young.

Regardless, I think the best choice would have been Roy Wood Jr. but that ship has long since sailed.

Same. But, it’s important to remember he specifically left because he was passed over for the host position.

Basically said something to the effect of “if there’s nothing to work towards I’d rather not be here in anymore” which I completely understand and respect.

Edit: Here’s a source for my above statement. Relevant section:

The reason: Since he hasn’t been offered the job as permanent host of the show, Wood wants some time to figure out his next act.

Desi’s great! The multiple host approach seems to be working out pretty well, so maybe they’ll just keep it that way.

I don’t give two fucks about the opinions of havaaasrd grads unless it’s tied to an actual academic with a cause.

I like him. I listened to him on Marc Maron, which is always neat because you get to know a bit more of the real person instead of the character he plays. Obviously, those people aren’t totally divorced. But his real self is a lot more cerebral than the stage version.
