Remember during the pandemic, when managers over-ordered, or product arrived out-of-season, stuff got spoiled, and all of that shrink was blamed on “shoplifting” because it was more palatable and profitable for management and the corpos to blame the customer and claim insurance money, rather than admit they’d made errors or there were flaws in the system that would force them to eat the cost?
