John Brown invaded the homes of slavery supporters, dragged them from their bed, and hacked them to death with swords in front of their kids. I suppose you’d say that was inappropriate.

John Brown would say that the institution of slavery was violence it’self and therefore any action taken against it, or it’s supporters is justified as defense of life.

Violence against fascists is always in the defense of self or others.
