I wasn’t that much of a lurker, it was an 11 year old account with around 150k karma. mine was for agreeing with a Muslim that the bloke who disarmed the Bondi shooter didn’t kill him because he was a peaceful Muslim and that turned out to be correct. Permabanned for it though and I understand I wasn’t alone.

Violence against Nazis is justified.
To be fair, I believe violence is only appropriate in self defense. Ninja edit: not that I condone Nazi’s or Nazism.
Violence against nazis is self defense. The ideology specifically calls for the elimination of ethnic groups and should thus be terminated with prejudice. Nazis are cancer for society. If they are allowed to exist the cancer will kill the society. See US right now.
We kill bad bacteria to live, we kill bad cells to live, cut out parts of our body so that the rest lives. It is appropriate. But people do not want to talk about it

There’s no such thing as a peaceful Nazi. Sure, there are times where a physical attack wouldn’t be appropriate, but someone waving a swastika is inciting violence against minorities and contributing to their extermination, so they should be treated just like Nazis doing physical violence are treated. As @yesman@lemmy.world said, beating up fascists is self-defense.
John Brown invaded the homes of slavery supporters, dragged them from their bed, and hacked them to death with swords in front of their kids. I suppose you’d say that was inappropriate.
John Brown would say that the institution of slavery was violence it’self and therefore any action taken against it, or it’s supporters is justified as defense of life.
Violence against fascists is always in the defense of self or others.
