    Ulfric Stormcloak is literally Trump

    Skyrim belongs to the Nords

Claims to be a strong warrior but is actually a coward

    Stole the election

    Secretly a Thalmor agent

Anyway the Stormcloaks are all racist trash. And the Empire kinda doesn’t give a shit about Talos worship and is just playing along until they can out-breed the Dominion and win the next war. But the Stormcloaks brought Thalmor heat down on Skyrim and caused Heimskr to be jailed. They’re so hyped up on righteous fury, they can’t work together with the liberals to take down the fascists, and as a result it’s just causing more harm to the persecuted.

…remind you of anyone on this website?

He doesn’t know he’s a Thalmor agent, he was brainwashed with selective disinformation.

As long as the civil war proceeds in its current indecisive fashion, we should remain hands-off. The incident at Helgen is an example where an exception had to be made - obviously Ulfric’s death would have dramatically increased the chance of an Imperial victory and thus harmed our overall position in Skyrim.

… A Stormcloak victory is also to be avoided, however, so even indirect aid to the Stormcloaks must be carefully managed.

Regardless of the chosen side, if the dragonborn completes the civil war questline, it’s bad for the thalmor. The only losing move is not to play. Join the civil war! Nothing ever happens unless the protagonist is the one who does it. The only way the thalmor’s stalemate can be maintained is if the dragonborn does NOT intervene.

Doesn’t the “Dragon-born” one implying DOMINION over all of the other races?

The former just implies homogeneity. Hard to be racists if you only ever meet one race. (have no knowledge of the first game)

Now, if we want to talk about truly racist gaming, look no further than Nintendo’s Fascist simulator:
    Animal crossing

Being exposed to only one race actually is a great way to create racism. Lack of exposure leads to a lack of understanding, and a lack of understanding often leads to fear.

I’d imagine wealth and class play a big part in it because of the ways wealth plays into education, cultural exposure, etc, and the ways wealth affects their relationship with such things. Like how wealthy people tend to travel more, and thus get exposed to different races and cultures which helps tolerance of such things, but their relationship with all of it is deeply consumerist. Its still racism, but in a more subtle way. Race and other cultures is a commodity to them, either for entertainment or social and cultural capital

Comrade, I am talking about the implications of a meme. Not social insulation. Racism persists because dominating others by race is convenient and profitable, otherwise the racist looks like a loon to the crowds. Race and cultures are commodities for the exploitation class.

Playing games to simulate commodifying races for amusement is what I am emphasizing. The former characters, as homogeneous, one cannot read or commodify their race for amusement, unlike the latter two which do.

Yep. Grew up white, surrounded by whites, and making all the same casual jokes about other races that we all only saw on TV. Nothing malicious, we weren’t racist or nothing, they’re all fine, they’re just different.

It really stopped me interacting easily with a variety of people, until I stopped seeing them as stereotypes and just treated them like people. They’re not different, except when they are. Just like white people.

Jeez, even now I know too few non-white people. Being way too interested in people’s differences can be a problem.

Oh wow. I have a schoolmate, who I could only describe by an inconsistent match of TikTok headlines.

He hates all major minorities (Black, Romani people, gender minorities,Muslims (even while having a Muslim schoolmate)) and actually wants the system to repress them or murder them.

He also answered to my cynical comment about older adults taking advantage of teen girls, saying that the women obviously want older guys for the money (what the hell, that wasn’t even the subject)

And he also has chauvinist opinions about autistics, while I (one of the few people who respect him) am an autistic. He thinks we’re all unable to speak and are too stupid to hold a job.

While speaking about my autism to him (the whole class already knew about it so it shouldn’t be a surprise to him) and how I regularly experience repression because of it, he became aggressive and screamed at me, that I couldn’t be autistic because I can speak and act too normal and that I am making up my disabilities because I know too much about them (I know a lot about neurodiversity, because I got diagnosed with autism as a child, no shit (but self diagnosing is valid, since most people don’t enjoy being genocided (but many enjoy genociding others, great))).

And he probably has an undiagnosed speech disorder (as he makes obvious mistakes when forming sentences) and he isn’t that great at school. But he has other abilities I respect him for, while I know that if my autism was slightly more visible, he would probably treat me like someone with a severe learning dissability.

He somehow recognizes the wealth gap between the working class and the capitalists, but I doubt, he would be open-minded to system reforms (EDIT: under capitalism) or socialist transition since his opinions about human rights don’t suggest that he believes in equality.

    Etc.

But I (a minority) am probably his best friend in the whole class (which also means I have to listen to his chauvinist rants(which are many times also about me)).

Wow, this is longer than I thought. This wasn’t intended to be a rant, but here we are.

For me, this meme reminds me of two separate assholes who I was friends with in high school. One was someone who claimed to have progressive views, but was a total yuppie douche who only respected me because I was fairly intelligent and stood up to his bullshit. The other was a racist and transphobic edgelord who almost exclusively hung out with women and people of color, all the while being openly flamboyant and fruity. Needless to say, I stopped talking to both of those people and was better off for it.

Reminds me of a satirical song in my country that goes “I like black women! I’m not racist!”
