If I were rich I’d open up a bunch of repair cafes that lost money but helped people fix their stuff and keep it out landfills and taught people valuable soldering/electronics/programming/DIY skills while bringing the community together with volunteers and cheap coffee! Ah, that’s the dream…

Like a local shop agreeing to give a small discount to someone who earned a lot of karma on the site? The McLaren F1 was a real drivers car, not a status symbol. At least when it was released, sadly it has become an overpriced collectors item today.
But I highly doubt Elon bought it because he was a car enthusiast and planned to drive it hard
He got it because it was the fastsest car in the world at the time and he wanted the “best” regardless of anything else.
If I would get insanely rich, I would for sure buy something nice. After that I would start saving.
