Hmmm looked around a bit online and I couldn’t find this edited image or any comment about Rockstar changing the cover art from the left to the right. I’m wondering if this is even real, or am I missing a joke? If it is real it’s silly but if it’s not it’s just fake outrage.
Look at gamergate forums or on x and they are thousands of people mad about rockstar going “woke” so no its not a “moral panic”. Hate people in this thread pretending racism doesn’t exist because their bubbles are successfully purged of it that’s good but the racism is still there and say your low tech friend who games causally and uses x or facebook or reddit will see it.
Do you have any earthly idea how many of those “people” are bots now? Let yourself get worked-up by engagement-bait if you insist, but no-one-else is obligated to check-out places that are well-known for being places one goes to piss-off others or find something to get pissed-off about. Your “hobby” of engaging with and spreading it without substantiation vs reality doesn’t make you “more aware”, it just makes you part of the problem.
You’re literally promoting specific fan-art, spreading it far beyond what it ever would have reached otherwise, in your efforts to “end” racism. If anyone’s watering down existing racism, its you and people who act as you do.
Oh, I follow now. The way I read it initially it was that fans were mad about it and they got it changed, not that they made it themselves. Thanks for the clarification!
