Americans get tripped up on the concept of freedom - to the point that having gealthcare goes against the freedom of choice. Or welfare against the freedom to work, or taxes against freedom from the government.
Freedom for many over there, means the freedom to watch the poor die without having to help. Americans get tripped up on the concept.
That’s what it means now to far too many people.
We can blame Reagan for making that shit mainstream, but there were others earlier who paved the way.
