I have to run Firefox for stuff that is broken either in Mullvad (which is a lot), or also LibreWolf.

Firefox is just as bullshit as Chrome is. Why the hell do I get notifications about “select your AI chatbot to integrate into Firefox”, and most importantly - why are there literal adds on my home screen? And in the most scummy way possible - it shows you your most used websites on the front page.

And after a few seconds, it shifts the icons around and replaces the first few icons with “sponsored” bullshit. I’ve clicked on those more than once, because I was aiming for an icon that was just there. Fuck this bullshit.

Thank god for Librewolf keeping the Firefox engine alive, so we have an alternative. I love the engine and am really glad that there is an alternative for Chromium, don’t get me wrong. But I hate what Mozzilla is doing, they had such a fall from grace.

The one I like to watch is Mozilla’s own count of monthly active users. Once every year or two I’ll remember to check it. This time, it’s at least temporarily broken out of its years-long downtrend! The total number of Firefox users (not its market share) is up by 2% over 52 weeks as of the latest data point.
