stardew makes me crave automation. I never end up upgrading my watering can because sprinklers go brrrr and I’ll be damned if I pet or feed a single animal.
The deluxe barn/coop has an auto-feeder, and there is an item to automatically pet animals every day too. There’s also quality of life mods that will give a visual of the area for things like scarecrows and sprinklers that make setting those up much easier. I even had one that will automatically pull relevant fuel from a nearby chest for smelters, kegs, preserves jars, geode processors, etc. I found I enjoyed the later parts of the game a lot more when the “go here to reset the timer” stuff could be automated away.
