The Palestinian group Hamas has announced the dissolution of the body that has governed Gaza for nearly two decades, paving the way for a technocratic committee to implement civilian rule in the war-ravaged, besieged territory.
The move on Monday marks a significant political shift by Hamas, which has governed Gaza since its fighters seized control from rival Palestinian movement Fatah in 2007 after Hamas won legislative elections the previous year.
A Hamas official said the group wished for the swift entry of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG), a body which is tasked with overseeing the future administration of Gaza under a US-backed plan to end Israel’s genocidal war on the Palestinian territory.
Sad day for the resistance
lol— since nobody was actually recognizing any of these governing bodies, does it actually matter that nobody’s recognizing any of these governing bodies anymore?
I think we we can all agree that the only one who ever gave a shit was Trump’s diarrhea diaper, and since it’s basically on fire at this point, can we all agree that it never really mattered?
I don’t have my source for this now since I read it around mid 2005, but apparently one reason that Methanyahu / Israel has funded Hamas is because they make it harder for the Palestinian Authority to rule, and it gives Israel a bogeyman to seek to its citizens.
At this stage I have no idea what is up and what is down, but assuming that info was and still is accurate, it could change the dynamic somewhat for political discourse and how the West sells genocide to voters.
Yeah, sure, maybe? Probably
Not arguing with you.
I’m just really fucking tired of having this conversation
Th control will be given to people selected by the PA. The same PA that do not prevent settler terrorism from attacking palestinians civilians. It will make it easier for israel to colonize more land
Kamala harris and Biden welcomed the trump’s “peace plan” plan and so the major western countries who also send weapons to israel yo do colonization and ethenic cleansing

Under the terms of the agreement, a ceasefire was enacted Oct. 10, and Hamas released all 20 remaining Israeli hostages in exchange for Israel freeing nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners.
Yeah it was a ceasefire and prisoner swap. You’re against it, then.
What ceasefire?
Israel has never respected a single cease fire.
So you don’t support a ceasefire resolution. Just continued bombing, ok.
And the prisoner swap? Also no?
again, what ceasefire?
To the point of discussion - the approving tweets from DNC bigwigs - the ceasefire that was then YET TO BE NEGOTIATED.
So - what ceasefire? The one that was subsequently negotiated, approved, signed and almost immediately ignored by Israel.
It has absolutely no relevance to the point I’m making. You might as well complain about the “Great American State Fair” for all it matters to my point that DNC leaders praised an effort towards a peaceful solution. That is all. If that - by itself - is a problem, then you can address that.
See your “what about the plan?!” friend below.
it’s disingenuous to call it a ceasefire, it’s a genocide.
There was never a cease fire. Israel never stopped attacking and killing Palestinians. The plan ask Hamas to unconditionally disarm without any security guarantees that Israel will not colonize gaza again or work on a plaestinian state.

What do you mean “the plan”?

The 3 phase plan
On October 24, Hamas announced it is willing to relinquish control of the Gaza Strip.[120] On November 8, vice-president of the Palestinian Authority, Hussein al-Sheikh, stated that the Palestinian Authority and Hamas had agreed that any future Palestinian technical government for the Gaza Strip would be led by a minister suggested by the Palestinian Authority with health minister and former mayor of Gaza, Maged Abu Ramadan, being named as a possible candidate.[121]
US Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, and Trump adviser Jared Kushner arrived in Israel on October 20 and were joined by US vice-president JD Vance the following day.[122]
The European Union together with the Palestinian Authority convened the first summit of the newly formed “Palestine Donor Group” in Brussels on November 20.[123]
Palestinian factions including Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Popular Front, Democratic Front, Popular Resistance Committees, National Initiative, and the Democratic Reform Movement (Dahlan Movement) started meeting in Cairo on November 24 to discuss a draft “protocol of action of the international force”.[124][125]
On November 17, the UN Security Council approved a resolution proposed by the United States regarding a transitional government and the establishment of an International Stabilization Force (ISF) in Gaza.[126]
The “Democratic leadership kudos for the peace plan” was reported October 14. Do you see the relevance there?
The details, and the final version, were not yet announced. Supporting the intent to pursue peace is a good thing. Pretending Democrats support genocide, and using this broad statement of support for talks as supposed proof, is a bad thing.
What bad d faith comment. The plan was was announced on September 29, 2025 and Harris praised it on October 14

It is a surrender plan. Hamas has to disarm but not a single mention of lifting the blockade on Gaza, no mention of the illegal settlements in the west bank, no measures are specified to punish Israel breach of the agreement which they did daily since the announcement of the fake cease fire .
So frustrating to see how libs here keep trashing trump for everything except when the democrat leaders agree with trump terrible plans. You guys are bunch of hypocrite.
