    By saying intra instead of inter, you’re suggesting it’s within the races, instead of between (different) races. I choose to believe this was intentional and witty

        I know, I was literally saying you used it correctly. At the time of my comment you had several downvotes, I assume because people misunderstood what you were saying, which is why I added my comment for clarity.

      It aligns with the context and their post history suggests they know how to use words. There is nothing bad with explaining rhetorics, but doing it like this comes through as belittling.

      Given that the races aren’t homogenously mixed, there is no way that it wouldn’t be true that most violence is intra rather than inter just by sheer proximity. These are just the correct words to use.
