cocktails are expensive because they take time to make. $15 cocktails is pretty cheap for me, where I am they are often closer to $20 unless you’re at a dive bar. $10 is a domestic beer or a house wine, which is what most folks drink when they go out.
Christ, where do you live? I’m in one of the top cost of living areas in the US, but even around here a pint is about $8, cocktails about $14±2, and a draft craft about $11. (Unless you know the spots that have cheap beer like the one place that has $3 Budweiser.)
