Can we please use NB instead of “enby”? When I was like 12, I thought enby = ebony = black people. So for quite some time, I thought that black people were just NB naturally (I was in a country where I had zero exposure whatsoever to black folk).

Also, happy non binary people’s day <333

There’s a builder of shitty, overpriced mcmansions where I live named “NV Homes”. It took me a while to figure out what the name meant, and then it depressed me even more. Imagine going a million fucking dollars into debt to buy a giant cardboard box because you think it will make people jealous of you.

Honestly? Nyeeeeh. It’s smooth, sure. But cool? Ehhh. When you say it out loud, it still sounds like “NB”. I’m not non binary, but if I was, I wouldn’t want my identity associated with just two letters.

        Here’s a proposal. “Themian”.

“I’m Themian. I exist everywhere but nowhere. My existence is not confined to any realm. I can transcend realms at will.”

“Enby” is commonly used instead of “NB,” because “NB” has a long history of being shorthand for “non-Black.” It’s not wrong to use NB as shorthand for nonbinary, but it has the potential to cause confusion so people often avoid it. 🙂

Oof… Hah I guess we should just say “thems” or the “themians”, eh? Way cool sounding and smoother than “non binary” or “NB”. “Enby” is smooth, but doesn’t sound that cool.

“Themians”. Oooh, now that sounds other worldly. I ought to propose this name change to the Themian council now, huh.
