Why that idiotic mod has so much power on lemmy? I wish the biggest communities would have voting system for mods. We could vote for new mods and vote for removing unpopular modd
Or have a system where the community themselves moderates. Should be possible on a technical level to have many people of a community to make the decision about comment removal together.
Example of how it looks in other places
On first read of your comment I was apprehensive about having a community vote on what gets removed, considering the amount of non-rule breaking reports I get based on personal griefs. But, the minimum vote threshold and mod rankings help to negate that effect.
I’d like to see how that works on Lemmy.
You could bring it up with the instance admins, but they fully support him too.
