Ban happened on May 22, the post I downvoted was posted on May 21. Had to go to an app to be able to see the downvote, which is why it’s rounding the date differently than on desktop.

Prior to that my only interactions with the community were comments in February of 2025 and November of 2024, neither of which were particularly controversial and which have not been removed.

So either pelespirit went through and banned anyone who didn’t like his post, or he has it automated and doesn’t say anything about it in the rules. Given that he is the only one allowed to post in the community, that would be even more petty.

    So you first write this:

If I see people seriel downvoting, I’ll ban them.

    And then this:

    I don’t care about upvotes/downvotes

But you do care because you’re banning people for “serial downvoting.” Which is what? What do you consider “serial downvoting”? Two downvotes in a row? Three? Five? Or is it just '‘this person downvoted this and that, I Iike the post and the person should be banned because they do not agree with my opinion’’ kind of thing?

I also change headlines to fit the articles sometimes, because headlines are shit nowadays.

Change headlines from other people’s posts instead of just asking them to change their headlines? Yuck. Glad I found this post and you; thanks to that, I know I should avoid your ‘‘community’’ and you as a person on Lemmy.

You just sound like a power-tripping moderator, the ones we usually see on Reddit.

EDIT: I found it odd that every comment pointing out your ‘‘serial downvoting’’ comment that contradicts got exactly one downvote. So out of curiosity, I went and checked. Did not surprise me to see that you downvoted every single comment. Five of the six pictures were from you downvoting at the exact same time (at 5:59 PM):

So with your logic, you should now be banned from this community for ‘‘serial downvoting.’’
