    That’s not even remotely close. It’s not a massive deal at all. It will be a tiny fraction of the crude we sell America for example and an even tinier fraction of our trade. If Japan quadrupled that deal it still wouldn’t come remotely close to replacing 1% of what we’ve got going with the united states

    And Japan’s own prime minister has said investment in canada is contingent on what the deal is with the us.

    So no it’s not already happening. We may very well increase our trade with other countries but it’s not even going to cover a tenth of what we do with America, certainly not anytime soon. Maybe over the next 20 or 30 years we could build up relationships but even then it would be tough
