    It’s hard to quantify the backlash against companies using online social media. That’s why I created highly structured boycott social media app, so we can see how much people are costing these companies.

        Oh, well I’m talking about actual numbers. There’s a lack of numeric data surrounding what pressure companies actually face from public backlash. My product would solve that if anyone were interested in putting together real campaigns against companies on my product.

          Hmm, I understand. I had to go through your profile to understand you were talking about wecott.com. I then thought it was some paid shilling but it seems to be an MIT hackathon product.

          I applaud the motivation here, but I’d have to read more about this product. How is it governed?

            It’s user-governed. I have no say in anything… it’s literally a tool that I put over 10 years of conceptual design into. lol. (with receipts). This took a LOT of time to build, and the rich would never fund it. Anyway, particularly on governance – the boycotts are democratic – the users themselves guide everything from the goal to the victory. It was very challenging to build.
