As a non soccer fan, I don’t get it. Why don’t we like Argentina? Don’t they have a pretty strong team?

They played incredibly dirty, fouled nonstop, deserved even more red cards than they got, at the same time they played super lame football, debated with the referee nonstop, were disrespectful to the winning team afterwards and physically assaulted a Spanish player after the game without any provication from the other side.

Rarily has a team in the finals misbehaved more than that.

And on top of all of that, corrupt FIFA will look the other way and do nothing about it because they’re currently the princesses of the football world. There’s just too much money tied to sponsorships that depend on Argentinian stars, so FIFA will do everything in their power to keep the money flowing, even if that means tolerating a team that undermines sportsmanship and integrity. FIFA went through a corruption crisis in 2015 and learned absolutely nothing.

Everyone has always hated Argentina, and kind of argentinians (not based on racist motives, they are just incredible ass holes and sore losers). When I recently saw Swiss people hating on them, that was the last straw.
