    I don’t understand why this is even on the table…

    The US and the EU are the two largest single markets in the world, just give both entities mutual visa free travel and be done with it.

    Come on EU, stop simping for the US!

      This is the case now.

      US is adding extra requirements to keep the status quo.

      Now either EU accepts it (this proposal) or hard line (and consider that US has other ways to access the data of Europeans). Problem is that if the EU decides to not give access, likely on this administration they will stop EU to enter visa free.

      Exactly like for the tariffs, EU can either do the same or accept the US citizens visa free.

      Typically this would mean require visa for US citizens that means a lot of lost opportunities for everyone (exactly like tariffs)
