I actually met the guy. I worked at the place next to where they were building it in everett. He bought me a beer once at the bar in the marina and tried to recruit me.
I just laughed and shot the shit with him. I didn’t trust in my experience for what he was doing and now I know it was the right choice.
Also Paul Allen from Microsoft was pretty heavily invested into space shit when he died.
There also was that one billionnaire that died in a Titanic exploration accident. Poor son though, he didn’t want to go.
