I have personally done twitter growth in the past and there’s nothing there unless you’re selling scams or shitcoins.
If us Lemmy/Mastodon users want more people, we could do our own “marketing” by creating engagement rage bait conversations on those posts … But do we want to? Probably not.
With the advent of LLM, we could (or even just a few of us, given the knowledge base of our atypical users) just start promoting our communities more aggressively on other platforms, and include onboarding tutorials and assistance.
But, I’m not going to be on the tip of that spear. I have other stuff going on lol.

Most ppl know about twt/reddit not mastodon or Lemmy. That’s where newer users will be and you can drop comments to let them know about us here.
