While I no longer wish to engage with Reddit, I still visit it occasionally, especially in the LLM Age. This is because appending site: reddit.com to a search query is basically a surefire way to find results written by genuine humans. Which, just to be extremely clear, I still find desirable.
Isn’t Reddit THE site that is used by everyone to poison LLMs with their ads?
I found some streaming links on reddit that are no longer hosted on search engines because fuck us I guess. But looking for other streaming links on reddit results has been a bust, I am 2/10 or so. But the two hits I got on streaming links were very very good sites, not like that scammy 123movies shit, these are quality sites.
Yeah, I raised my eyebrows at that too. It’s not as bad as Twitter, but there’s plenty of bots there nowadays.

Reddit is so compromised it’s lost a lot of utility for a lot of things. The large userbase is still revolutionary for getting help with problems or planning stuff, but other uses where money is at stake are almost openly corrupted. Reddit administration is dishonest and corrupted as well in their moderation.
I hope they do continue to obey the directives of the politicians without fighting back. The more leftists they kick off, the less utility the site has. The right, and moderates, might be shocked to learn just how unfunny, and unlearned they are, without the real people they are kicking off while allowing chatbots to run amok and poison threads where money is at stake.
FYI for anyone who depended on old reddit: There are a lot of Redlib instances out there that are being actively updated to the latest instance with fairly high uptime. I use an add-on called LibRedirect which redirects any links from reddit to one of these instances. If Reddit ever hunts down these instances, you can host your own.
