We host a few of the frontends on our own infrastructure, which improves performance for users, among other benefits like reducing strain elsewhere. It’s also easy for our local users to remember that old.lemmy.ca goes to the old interface, photon.lemmy.ca to photon, blorp.lemmy.ca to blorp etc. We are taking down the Tesseract one.
