It’s because Yahweh is a mean, vengeful god that only cares about themselves.
Aren’t the little children told in church that every soul is important? That The Shepherd will go to the ends of the Earth for 1 lost sheep?
Bitch, gimme a jetpack tomorrow and I’ll be in church every damn day. My soul, all kinds of up in your God shit.
But no. I’m not worth it to Yahweh. I’m not with a jetpack, or world peace, or cessation of eness cruelty. I have to put in the work, make the effort, and pay for the privilege.
Right? That’s how it works, right?
Siege the means of siege production!
Is it that expensive? The cost in wood can’t be higher than $1000. The counterweight can be using concrete and some steel for reinforcement if you want to get fancy, that would be most of the cost.
It will take a lot of time to build. You could contact a vlogger or something to make a video where you launch it and split the revenue if you want.
This probably isn’t common for a lemmy linux nerd, but I have spent a few grand on lumber over the past two years for various projects.
I bet one could build a properly superior hobby-sized siege engine for a total budget of $1000!
A friend of mine has made them from scrap wood and used rocks for weight.
The thing was pretty fun, we were using it to launch clay pigeons, theoretically it could launch flaming gasoline filled tennis balls 200-250m, or so I’m told.
Since Tom Scott has already done the trebuchet, you may want to build a catapult instead
Sure. Just waste your resources on an inferior siege weapon.
I only have money to build a battering ram in the shape of a direwolf. 😔

The trebuchet was inside you all along
Never thought I’d relate to a shit post, yet here I am, relating harder than I ever have.
build one
And build one I shall. …one day.
Mine only shoots 200 meters :( all my fellow serfs jest at me at the tavern
cant afford more pixels either 😂
There is no god. Build your own damn trebuchet.
Sadly because he also loves the French, the stupid bastard.
The steel may cost you more in the end, but a guillotine requires far less hardware.
