I’m someone who goes by Ze/Zir pronouns. I’ve done so for years. I originally went by they/them pronouns but I didn’t like them much and they just don’t feel right for me. When I discovered neopronouns they just felt right. Unfortunately I haven’t had much luck getting people to refer to me by my preferred pronouns.
Even here on Lemmy lots of people still refer to me by they/them or worse she/her. It feels really bad. Does anyone else on here struggle with this?

Ze/Zir sounds pretty cool. I think that if I were to regularly hear or read others using neopronouns correctly, it would be clear and intuitive to use them myself.
Nobody in my peer group uses neopronouns, so I don’t get regular practice. I wish you peace in this.
If you enjoy scifi, you may check out Ann Leckie. She uses some neopronouns for a small number of characters. They are all great books as well. She’s created an incredible universe full of wonderfully thought out gender diversity.
Also Ruthanna Emrys in A Half-Built Garden has excellently diverse and interesting takes on pronouns!
