According to NASA, two of the three reaction wheels that control the spacecraft's alignment have failed, and there are problems with one of the spacecraft's thruster systems.
Hopefully they can get it stabilized to try and complete the mission. The space telescope they are going for will re-enter the atmosphere either way so it’s worth a shot.
This is a cool mission, especially since this will probably be the last air-launched orbital space mission we will see for a long time, maybe ever.
Idk, sporadic comms, down to 1/3 reaction wheels, and prop problems… Using their electric thrusters to null rotation sounds like not a good time. I’m not optimistic.
