I meant more that you can do the walls, ceilings and floors in bland neutral colours and then furniture, curtains, etc, can be changed out as the current popular style or your own taste changes. So you don’t have to rip out the floors and repaint the walls to change the color scheme.
Also that it’ll be easier for your (grand)kids to sell the place when you’re dead because it’s easier for the new owner to redecorate around the grey than around what’s on the “before” pictures here. I was originally gonna comment that but left it out because the world’s morbid enough without my sense of humour.
