Funny thing: I overcame my fear of spiders long ago by giving them names and talking to them while bringing them outside when they mistakenly took residence in my apartment; worked for my ex too who feared spiders a lot more than i did.

It’s a big mental difference between seeing a spider without context or seeing Reginald, Ruby, or Simone.
