    I’ve been thinking and wondering about this sort of thing. Are demagogues not left because they’re authority figures, and true left-right spectrum is anarchism vs. authoritarianism?

      Depends 1) who is saying this 2) and for what means.
      Truthout is an established neoliberal news corporation (1). They have the vested interest to maintain dominance of your attention on what they want you to focus on (2). For this particular case, they are lying to the audience that Abdul El-Sayed will vote in the Senate toward leftist agendas, all the while not actually doing leftist work.
      I am a black anarchist (1). I go out of my way to feed people, house people, intersect issues, etc… My interest is empowering you and me to ensure our needs are met. Thus I have vested interest in maintaining honest relationships, speaking truthfully, and earning your camaraderie (2). When I say a senator is not the left, I mean it in what constitutes actions that empower our lives. Demagogues only empower their agendas, while we have to empower ourselves.
      Liberals in this network downrank comments that point out this hypocrisy. They hate the truth, because it is not in their interest to support each other. They want us squabbling over if the senate will return our stolen wealth.

        despite being an anarchist (like myself), you show a lot of belief in being elitist and political superior than most others here. i thought we were against hireachy, which also includes social hireachy. you need to accept that you are no better than people you disagree with if you are to actually be taken seriously rather than hypocrite as you so obviously dislike :p

            i dont make any claims that i agree or disagree with the topic at hand, i dont have the political knowledge to do so and id rather not just take someones word for it. i think, rather, that youre just not putting your beliefs in sound arguments. i want to show other people that youre not making logically sound arguments, youre doing no better than any politician.
