    It depends. If you work hourly, you’ll get overtime. However, this is mostly an issue with salary, where overtime is not paid. It usually ends up being something along the lines of “we need to make the deadline on XX date” and theres not physically enough hours to do so without working beyond 40 hours a week. My favorite is when the deadline is on Monday, so you either keep working through the weekend to make the deadline, or you miss the deadline and people get mad at you

      My favorite is when you tell them that it’s impossible to get done on Monday. They tell you that doesn’t matter, it needs to be done Monday. Then get pissed off when it’s not done Monday. Like excuse me, I’m not the one who agreed to the customers changes last minute. I’m not allowed to talk to them anymore because I only tell them the truth.
