    Both are arbitrary scales. People tend to prefer the one they grew up with. Yes, water boiling at 100°C is neat. No, that doesn’t mean people who use Fahrenheit are wrong. Unless they’re doing science, cause SI units are important (Zenon did nothing wrong)

    Also, the meme is supposed to be both. Using the American (400°F preheat is normal) assumption of relevance (yes, it’s a real thing) but then pulling the switcheroo and using an image corresponding to Celsius.

        Metric is good for precision, but imperial is good for quick head math. Like, I do carpentry in imperial, and 3D modeling in metric.

        As far as temperature goes, Celsius is better in every range but weather. 0 to 100F goes from cold as fuck to hot as fuck.

          Both are good for quick head math. The only difference you are experiencing is your own familiarity with one over the other.

      I grew up with F, but now I’m all for C. It drives me crazy that the US (where I grew up) refuses to change.
