in addition to being just overall better than what came with the laptop, we also chose to flash libreboot cuz we wanted to install a processor was unsupported by stock firmware.
oh and yes we did get rid of the stickers soon after :)

I watched a video from an Aus lady who had moved to japan about how Japanese people do a lot of stuff on the floor. She had started doing it and reckons it improved her physical health just getting up and down from the floor and moving around at floor level
Ive started to do things on the floor its fun
I’ve always wanted to do libre/core boot but it seems like so much work for basically no outcome. Maybe if I ever buy a new laptop, I’ll get one from a vendor who pre-flashes an open bootloader

you running ivy quad cores on t420? how’s the temp? do you have the nvidia dgpu?
it runs quite hot, especially when using the igpu (no dgpu). we have been meaning for the last 1.5 years to get the dgpu cooler but haven’t done so xd

You got the T420, man. I made the mistake of getting the T420s; the “s” stands for “slim”. It also stands for “soldered-in” like its anemic CPU.
