There’s actually a lot of political solidarity about mass surveillance. Go to the grimiest YouTube comment section and you’ll see the same kind of vitriol against Palantir et al that you would here.

They just think it serves the globalhomo socialist cabal trying to take over the US and not the fascist coup that already has taken over the US.

i would even say with enough time and deprogramming we can make them suck a lot less than they do. perhaps it’s true though that there can never be full recovery. but i think part of achieving class consciousness is having the faith to put in the effort in believing that better things are possible and that humans are neither inherently good nor inherently evil, but rather products of their environment

I disagree about one part. I do believe humans are inherently good. Sure, there are some people who are neuro-divergent that this doesn’t apply to (though this doesn’t mean they aren’t capable of it, it just might not be inherent). Everyone else though I think are good. That’s how we evolved.

They might not do good because they’re mislead. That’s why many of the conservative arguments are still made with a moral framework, like “think of the children/women” even though that’s just a very thin veil. That’s all it takes sometimes for people to do the wrong thing because they believe, without question, that they’re doing something good.

I think that’s part of why religion is bad. It isn’t just because organized religion has evil people, but that religion is based on the concept of not questioning things. A lot of these people just believe they’re doing good without considering if it’s actually the right thing.

I think once you’re hardened to exterior influence by thought terminating mechanisms there’s nothing left to save, but letting them kill their masters first seems prudent.
