Even without the union busting and layoffs, GTA 5 multiplayer was as painful as they could possibly make it to milk people for shark cards. GTA 4’s multiplayer was just a fun sandbox to mess around in, which is what GTA 5’s multiplayer should’ve stayed, and then maybe single player would’ve actually got some meaningful post-launch content (remember how GTA 4 got two DLCs that were, effectively, two entire additional games on the same map? I remember.)
Instead, they realized they could milk whales, abandoned the singleplayer experience, and I expect GTA 6 to be just as awful and extractive if not more so. Miss me with that shit, I might pirate it and play the singleplayer campaign but that’s about it, they’re not getting my money anymore.
