When I was apartment hunting in Paris some 20 years ago I stumbled across one like this, but it was built on a sort of drawer so that the toilet slid out forward.
Imagine making food for your invites and one of them has to take a shit.
Another was a combined shower and “turkish toilet” (a hole in the ground), just remove the floor in the shower and shit apparently.

So was the one that slid out a chemical toilet or such? Or was its plumbing like a flexible dryer vent? I’m hung up on how the plumbing would work
