I deleted my account and was in read-only mode for since they switched from old design. Now encountered this for first time. Time to abandon my habits

    Came here due to that. Today I got hit by “verify your age”, they want me to submit a selfie or an ID card. Hell no.

      Out of curiosity, are you in a region that requires age verification for porn/social media? No need to be specific about which one, I’m just curious if they are limiting these checks to where it’s required by law or if they are pushing it out more broadly. This “requirement” from social media sites is one that the data mining ones are all too happy to have forced down on them.

        Yes, Brazil.

        I’ve seen those age verification checks been thrown around over the last couple of months - BUT -most of them are going that self verification route like Steam does: “if you are not a minor you can’t access this, but please go ahead and put a MM//DD//YY that shows us your are not a minor. Ok we believe you, you are all set, enjoy”.

        tell me about it… and the biggest problem is, like it or not, Reddit was my first choice for troubleshooting anything in my life.

        So I have to get access again, I heard that by using VPN you can kinda bypass this age verification thing but, guess what, more information about this is on… Reddit! lol

        I’ll see if I can do it after my work day has ended
