Depends on the situation. Maybe you say something and you get this feeling that the air has rushed out of the room.

Doesn’t mean the person hates you, just that they didn’t like what you said

      what the fuck is ‘energy’.

i will never understand these new age bullshit terms.

unless you are measuring someone else joule output. and if you are doing that you’re either a personal trainer or a creep.

It’s not that serious homie. Remember that synonyms exist, and humans define language.

It’s not new age. Its the same meaning as “the energy of the party” and things like that. “The vibe.” How things feel.

It’s fairly analogous to actual energy too. It’s the effect you get from something, like heat from touching something hot, but in mood form. If it makes you feel excited, or sad, or whatever else.

“Energy” is typically heuristic shorthand for “overall patterns of moods, attitudes, and behavior.”

If someone’s behaving differently towards you (general “you” here), regardless of it having to do anything with their relationship to you, you’re going to pick up on it largely subconsciously.

Because the human brain works on shortcuts and said subconscious processing, it typically translates to “idky just vibes I guess” even though it’s a lot of pattern recognition and social calculations.
