As a current console user, this whole non-physical disc option leaves a sour taste. I’m not on board with digital-licenced-only options especially if buying at full price, Generally I’d be super keen (I bought/sold/rebought W3) cant see myself getting excited about this on any platform.
CDPR has a stake in GOG, all of their games are available DRM free there. I know it’s not your preferred device, but your gripe is with Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo, not CDPR.
Your decision to lock in on a platform that forces their users to rent their games doesn’t mean every platform is equally shit. There’s no reason to assume this won’t be released on gog with the same drm-free access all of their other games have been.
