It’s a federated protocol that uses public key cryptography to prove identity, so you don’t really have a “home server”. That also means there’s very little in the way of moderation.
Explains why the one time I’ve seen nostr come through it was some weird ass spam
Spam, cryptobros and PDFs. But once you block them its halfway decent. I mean as an alternative its ok
