Where’s the joy in reading a comic that someone else has drawn? Where’s the thrill of learning something new? The joy of getting new puzzle pieces etc etc.
(Hopefully) obviously, not every bit of human life is about learning something new, some of it is about just enjoying nice things, whether that’s a picture or a cake or whatever. Some of that enjoyment might come from the knowledge that a human being was exercising their skills in creating it, but I think you’re kidding yourself if you think that’s a necessary component for a lot of people.
Someone made that comic. I’m partially seeing the world through their eyes. AI shit, no one made that. There’s no perspective, no idea. Just the most statistically likely next token. Trash

How much time do you think someone eating a McDonald’s burger spends appreciating the real human effort that goes into it? Do you think they never choose it over “the good shit” as you describe it?
Conveniently we can measure just how much people prefer things by observing what they give up their time and earnings to have and to consume. Time after time, people go for slop - the old fashioned kind, that is. And that’s fine. It’s only snobs who think everything you consume has to be gourmet, artisinal, hand-crafted bollocks. We have a number of fantastic pizzerias here, but that doesn’t stop me from every so often enjoying some monstrosity from domino’s or the freezer.
