Liberals: “No. We’re going to cut funding for healthcare, schools, infrastructure and environmental protection and give all the taxpayer money to wealthy corporations so they can survive in these difficult times.”
EDIT: Downvote me all you want. But I’m pretty certain there’s going to be austerity measures in place soon to save on government spending, and all that extra cash is going to go into subsidies for companies. And the working class will lose jobs and get jack shit.
What? Most of what you mentioned is funded by the provinces. Health and education are among the biggest parts of a province’s budget. And AFAIK none of the four most populated provinces currently have a liberal government.
So the federal government does nothing? They don’t enact any policies? They don’t give money to provinces for specific programs? Why do we even have a federal government? What do they even do?

Where do you think provincial governments get money from? It’s not just provincial taxes, but also federal taxes with wealth redistribution. Why do you think Alberta wants to separate so bad?
The federal governments enacts policies that have to be followed by the provinces. They provide funding for specific programs. Whether it’s healthcare, education, infrastructure, etc. If they decide to cut funding for these things to instead use it as subsidies to help Canadian businesses “stay afloat” (read : earn a little less profits) they can. And the provinces will just have less money to fund everything else.
I’m a left leaning person that has no love for neo-liberal governments, but if you are to criticize, just make sure that it’s a legitimate complaint. The person you reply to can criticize Carney, but he should be correct in doing so. Education, health, and AFAIK even environment, is all provincial responsibilities. There may be transfers for all of those from the federal government, but it’s all managed by the provinces. So how can Carney and the federal liberals can say they’re going to cut funding for healthcare and education when they’re not funding it in the first place?
Unless you provide a specific source saying they will cut those transfers, this is inaccurate and is indeed worth downvoting.
You sound like someone I know that exclusively reads Post Media and listens to talk radio. Read the constitution act, sections 91 and 92. You can just use an LLM because reading content of substance could be difficult for you.

You’re wrong and now you’re throwing a hissy fit .
Wow! What a convincing and elaborate argument! /s
Hey hey hey now - i made a comment critiquing Carney’s government policies and was down voted to oblivion and had the most idiotic replies ever.

I agree with the environment but where are the parts about health and education?
Jesus. Can you not Google “Carney education policy” and “Carney health policy” on your own?
