I did work at a Pepsi factory installing product for their warehouse; this is close to a truth lol.

One of my coworkers brought a coke product in their lunch and was drinking it in the break room. Someone from upper management came in and saw and it became a whole issue.

They probably would have been less angry if he had been doing lines in there.

Its the same over at Coke. I’ve had crews out there before and even the water had to be coke branded or they wouldn’t allow it. Corn Syrup people are nuts…and filthy rich cause they have so many people addicted to corn syrup.

My uncle had a high position first at coke and then switched to Pepsi and he had in his contact that he could not drink products from the competition in public. It was a hassle to find restaurants because we had to call ahead and ask what they served. If there was no option we had to request the drinks to be served in glasses and don’t have any cans or bottles on the table

Amusing as that is, was it really such an issue to simply drink anything else other than cola when going out to restaurants? Like was cola a default necessity as part of dining out? That seems so weird.

Sorry to hear that reminds me when I lost my job at the keyboard factory, I wasn’t putting in enough shifts.
